The album features Glenn Gould’s two iconic recordings of The Goldberg Variations: the 1955 debut that launched his career, and the 1981 recording, made near the end of his career and life. Notably, The Goldberg Variations itself also begins and ends with the same Aria. The album's design incorporates graphics inspired by the Möbius ring and infinity symbol, visually embodying the idea of the start as the end and the end as the start, completing a full circle.
